Annual Meeting of the Rio Grande Branch of the American Society for Microbiology
(RGASM) will be held on the campus of Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado April 6-7, 2018.
We are excited for this second interbranch meeting having last seen our fellow microbiologist colleagues in 2015.
Though the meeting is still being planned, one of this year's keynote speakers will be ASM
Distinguished Lecturer Dr. Karl Klose from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He will present "Killer Bunnies and Bioweapons: Tularemia and Biodefense" Friday
Of course, we will also have short 10-15 minute
talks and posters given by students, faculty and staff. As
there is only a limited amount of time for short talks, please submit an abstract by
February 1, 2018 if you plan to present a short talk and March 1, 2018 for a poster.

There are many hotels in the Durango area; however, a block of rooms have been reserved at the Strater Hotel where the Friday night reception is planned. Attendees are
responsible for their own accommodations.
Saturday, the meeting will move to Fort Lewis College for the rest of the day. Parking is not restricted.
