The
Annual Meeting of the Rio Grande Branch of the American Society for
Microbiology (RGASM) will be held on the campus of New Mexico Tech in Socorro, New Mexico April 12-13, 2019.
Though
the meeting is still being planned, one of this year's keynote speakers
will be ASM
Distinguished Lecturer Dr. Brian Hammer from Georgia
Institute of Technology. He will present "Quorum-controlled small RNAs: how, what, and why".
Of course, we will also have short 10-15 minute talks and posters given by
students, faculty and staff. As
there is only a limited amount of time for short talks, please submit an
abstract by March 15, 2019 if you plan to present a short talk and April 1,
2019 for a poster.
Please
distribute this newsletter to anyone else you think might attend the
conference.
